Join us August 11th for our Summer Festival. This event is celebrating our salon anniversary and the Gloucester Shop with a Cop Program. It will be held in our Gloucester salon from 12pm - 4pm. What is a gel nail extension?

Gel nail extensions are a “softer” artificial lengthening technique that is more flexible than other products. They can be considered a less damaging alternative that has more movement to withstand breaks or bending. They can typically last up to 3-4 weeks before peeling or lifting!

We are introducing some new spa services to our Hayes and Yorktown locations! Chloe is now available for some great new skincare including dermaplane, microdermabrasion, and a new chemical peel. New add-on services include microcurrent, enzyme treatment, MLD massage, ultrasonic extractions, and LED treatments. The microcurrent treatment tones the face temporarily using an electric current. Enzyme treatments are alike to a chemical peel and can help tighten stubborn facial lines and give you a beautiful glow. MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) massage can stimulate your lymph nodes and drain naturally (FACE ONLY). Ultrasonic extractions uses a vibrating spatula to ease out oil from pore and other areas on the face. And LED treatment uses a light emitting diode to target specific area that are in need of treatment. It can target a range of issues from acne, environmental factors, hyperpigmentation, and sensitivities. Have you heard of Redken's High Bright system? This system is meant for natural and color treated blondes! High Bright is used to eliminate impurities that cause buildup and dullness. This system can also be used in between salon visits to keep up with shine and clarify the hair. Made with Vitamin C, the line can be used to brighten and clarify in just one use! The difference between Redken's Blondage system (purple shampoo) and the High Bright is that the Blondage removes brassiness while the High Bright removes impurities to brighten the hair! Upcoming Event: Cut-a-thon

This month on Sunday, July 16th Blown Away Salon will be hosting a cut-a-ton event fundraising for Gloucester's Shop with a Cop event from 12-4 pm. Shop with a Cop is a program that helps children in need year-round and helps officers create a positive relationship with youth! The fundraiser will feature $10 haircuts and $5 brow waxing. Our staff is volunteering that day so all proceeds will go to the fundraiser. All three of our locations will be hosting this event, so please stop by one of our great locations to support this fundraiser!

Blown away was established in August of 2011. Two ladies decided to take the leap of faith and go out on their own after years of working in the corporate world. Michelle, owner of Blown Away, was six months pregnant when deciding to take on this adventure. Soon after they found out that her best friend that accompanied her on this journey was pregnant with twins. It was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride trying to navigate through the new waters of becoming an entrepreneur. Soon after opening, their two best friends joined them truly defining the foundation of Blown Away Salon creating a loving family culture. Originally they began in an 800 square foot unit with only 4 styling stations. After 5 years into the business in 2016, Michelle decided it was time for the team to expand. She partnered with a salon coach and decided growing people was her passion.
